GES invited to the European Conference on Batteries
GES is proudly announcing the invitation to the “European Conference on Batteries”, an exclusively online event to be held from 24th to 27th November 2020.
In the framework of the German EU Council Presidency, the event is linked to the launch of the two “Important Projects of Common European Interest” (IPCEIs) along the battery value chain, of which GES is part and waiting for the final approval.
There will be high-level keynote speeches by international representatives of research, institutions, and industry:
- Research: among the others, Nobel Prize laureate for Chemistry Mr. Michael Stanley Whittingham, for his work in developing lithium-ion batteries
- Institutions: ministries of economic development from Italy, Germany and France, the European Commission, and other European organizations
- Industry: top executives of big corporates like Elon Musk (Tesla), Dr. Peter Lamp (BMW), Dr. Peter Schumacher (BASF), Jesper Wigardt (Northvolt).
The speakers will share their experiences and opinions on the future of this key sector for the energy transition.
The President Salvatore Pinto will hold his presentation on Thursday 26th November, at 12:10, on the topic of the future of stationary storage.
The participation is free of charge, however, registration is mandatory to follow the speeches and participate to the debate.
